KHECARI IS HIRING AN ASSISTANT OPERATIONS MANAGER

This is an integrated role including administrative work and project production, working directly under the Artistic Directors on all aspects of running a small non-profit project-based dance company.

Part time contract position | 15 hrs per week | $15/hr
Starting May 8th, 2017 for 12 months with the possibility of renewal

In general 9 hrs/wk will be a set schedule of:
Mon 12-3pm, Wed 12-3pm, Fri 3-6pm in Rogers Park with Artistic Directors

The remaining 6 hrs/wk might be fulfilled working from home or at events/productions. The schedule will have some variability to adapt to our production calendar.

Job Description:

This position assists the two Artistic Directors with running the administrative aspects of Khecari, which may include but are not limited to the following:

  • grant research & writing assistance
  • event planning & management
  • production planning & management
  • website & social media upkeep
  • email communication
  • marketing and outreach

We are looking for someone with great communication and organization, an ability to take initiative and also take direction well, and a range of interests and abilities encompassing artistic and administrative areas.

A flexible schedule is desirable in order to assist with event and project production. The position would also offer some scheduling flexibility as some hours would be spent working on your own.

Applicants should have a desire to gain a deep familiarity with Khecari and commit the time to dig in deep into who we are, what we do, and why.

We have an ethics of equity and integrity that is as important as the work we make, and offer a pay rate equal to the Artistic Directors’. We are looking for someone with a desire to be part of a team, all of whom are able and willing to talk about art or roll up their sleeves and muck out the stalls, as the situation requires.
