CRISTINA TADEO

 

BIO

Cristina Tadeo is an Albuquerque-based dance artist and arts administrator interested in the intersection of performance, environment, visual design and documentary. She has performed with various independent artists in many venues across Chicago, and her choreographic work has been awarded grants from the Illinois Arts Council Agency, the City of Chicago DCASE, and 3Arts’ Project Program. Cristina was a 2019 artist in residence at PLAYA in Summer Lake, Oregon. For 11 years, Cristina has supported a multitude of artists and organizations across Chicago, including collaborations in graphic and sound design, video documentation, project management, development, and administrative support. She served as the Program Associate at Dance for Life for three seasons, and first began working with Khecari in 2015, performing in The Cronus Land. Tadeo is an MFA candidate in Dance at the University of New Mexico and holds a BFA in Dancemaking from the Dance Center of Columbia College.
