ROBIN DAVIS

 

BIO

Robin Davis (she/they) is a freelance dance artist and teacher based in Chicago. They are a native North Carolinan who began their formal training at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts High School Contemporary Dance Program. She graduated from New York University Tisch School of the Arts with a BFA in Dance and a BA in English on the Creative Writing Track in 2019. As a dancer, she has worked with Meadows Dance Collective, Darvin Dances, Red Clay Dance Company and is currently a company member with Winifred Haun & Dancers. As a choreographer, they have presented their work at DanceChance, Jello, Common Ground, First Draft and were Khecari’s 2024 Resource Share Resident. She teaches around the city as a creative movement, contemporary and ballet instructor to all ages sharing her passion and joy of movement and encouraging creativity and healthy foundational biomechanics in her students. Robin enjoys co-building equitable sustainable art communities because she believes in the power of dance and art as an essential source of community and communication and she is delighted to join Khecari as an administrative assistant where she can hone that practice and learn from others in the dance community.
